The October stock market correction has carried over into November. And although the S&P 500 (INDEXCBOE: .SPX) has not broken its October lows, the index is experiencing some sharp swings just above those lows.

The price action in the market has investors wondering if the stock market correction could morph into a bear market… potentially fueled by a recession?

There’s been a lot of talk (noise) on the financial news and social media channels.

But opinions don’t get us anywhere. Let’s look at the facts to properly weigh probabilities.  Again, we take it day to day with an open mind.
